Writing for School Leaders

The return to full time, in-person instruction will require school leaders to provide clear and effective communication to all stakeholders, particularly parents and caregivers. This one-week course will guide school leaders in developing a communication system to provide timely and appropriately framed information.The course goals are:Identifying the key needs and expectations of stakeholders Designing and implementing weekly and/or monthly communicationsCrafting written responses to local/national eventsParticipants will leave the course with:A Welcome Letter for the 2021-2022 academic yearKey stakeholders communication needs tableA communications schedule (including automated emails)Top 5 writing and revision strategies for successful communication

Effective leadership requires school administrators to provide clear and effective communication to all stakeholders, particularly parents and caregivers. This individualized coaching will guide school leaders in developing a communication system to provide timely and appropriately framed information.

The course goals are:

  • Identifying the key needs and expectations of stakeholders

  • Designing and implementing weekly and/or monthly communications

  • Crafting written responses to local/national events

Participants will gain:

  • Three key documents based on role and need

  • Key stakeholders communication needs table

  • A communications schedule (including automated emails)

  • Top 5 writing and revision strategies for successful communication
